I had lunch there the other day with some friends. The story is that one of the owners loved to cook and she wanted to preserve their traditions expecially her grandmothers dumplings. The grandmother thought that her cooking and receipies were not worth anything. The grandma was from a small village in China and neighbor that frequents the restaurant as a patron said “I love coming to cheeky cafe, It reminds me of home”. I was very impressed this another example of why living in Seattle is so great. We are surrounded by entrepreneurs and business minded people who follow their passion. I was inspired by the family who came together to keep their grandmothers legacy on for generations. Try their special everything is good on the menu. So if you get a chance they have a great brunch on the weekends and during the week stop in and have lunch. Tell them Thach sent you.
