What a great question, it is sometimes a mystery to first time home buyers. Real estate escrow is a procedure that happens while closing your real estate transaction. This is when a deed is delivered by a grantor to an escrow agent who is the instructed to deliver the deed to a grantee when a specified criteria are met. These specifications are more often than not depending on the purchase amount being delivered to the agent.
