Transportation to/from city
Most convenient: Taxi fare to downtown is about $40. Travel time: about 20 minutes. Seattle Downtown Airporter, $11 ($18 round trip). Shared shuttle vans, about $30.
Least expensive: Metro Transit or Sound Transit Light Rail (Central Link), $2.50. Station is connected to the fourth floor of airport garage via a long (about a quarter-mile) covered walkway. Travel time: About 35 minutes.
Wi-Fi and charging stations
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport. Wi-Fi also at Laptop Lane (North Satellite) and Regus Business Center on Concourse C.
Charger kiosks (fee charged) are available on each concourse and in main terminal.
Go local
Good choice for local gifts: Made in Washington (food, crafts) and Discover Puget Sound (artwork, food), both in Central Terminal.
Good choice for local food: Anthony’s Restaurant (seafood, with view), Kathy Casey Dish D’lish (casual), Ivar’s Seafood Bar (casual) –, all in Central Terminal.
Tips and tidbits
SEA has outdoor and indoor pet relief areas, a children’s play area, a nail salon, massage bars, business centers and a downloadable guide to the airport’s extensive art collection.
Nearby layover option: The Museum of Flight is home to the first Air Force One, many other aircraft, and the Red Barn — the birthplace of Boeing. It’s a short cab ride from the airport. Metro Bus No. 174 also stops in front of the museum.
