The Vietnamese Friendship Association is proud to announce our
Third Annual Benefit Dinner “Planting Roots, Shaping Futures”
Since 1978, the Vietnamese Friendship Association has responded to the needs of Vietnamese immigrants and refugees by providing high-quality services to youth and families.
As the largest Vietnamese non-profit organization in Greater Seattle, our mission is to empower the Vietnamese community to succeed while bridging, preserving, and promoting cultural heritage.
Third Annual Benefit Dinner on June 10th, 2011. This year’s theme, “Planting Roots, Shaping Futures,” is in recognition of the Vietnamese American community’s contribution to the Seattle region, acknowledging the Pacific Northwest as their home, and investing in its future generations.
Our goal is to raise $35,000, which will be used to hire tutors for our after-school program, conduct workshops to our limited-English-speaking parents so they can better assist their children in school, purchase supplies for students in our summer program, and provide support for our other acclaimed programs.
In addition to a delicious, traditional five-course Vietnamese dinner, this event will feature both live and silent auctions, a raffle, and a Raise the Paddle initiative.
We encourage you to come prepared to give at whatever level is comfortable for you. While the cost of your ticket covers the cost of dinner and entertainment for the evening, 100% of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward essential VFA programs for youth and families. This lively event will attract over 400 attendees and will unite business owners, community leaders, and other prominent members throughout Seattle, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with the Vietnamese community and its partners.
